Shopify Event | Montreal

It’s always great to shoot events like this in between all the other kind of jobs I do. The job is slightly more relaxed and I enjoy getting to know the people involved and trying to capture genuine moments and a story from the event.

Working with a company like Shopify in Montreal, I knew this wasn’t going to be some stuffy corporate event. They had a great turnout for the event too with a ton of people chatting with the Shopify staff and getting tours of their fantastic workspace.

My aim with this shoot was to give the company a varied set of photos that not only captured the event itself but gave them images that could be used for their marketing and social media at any point in the future. This adds a lot of value for the companies that hire me to photograph events for them. They always receive more images than they expect and a wider variety of photographs then they thought they’d receive too.

Shopify Inc. is a Canadian multinational e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. It is also the name of its proprietary e-commerce platform for online stores and retail point-of-sale systems.
